These are only hints and guesses,
Hints followed by guesses;
And the rest is prayer, observance, discipline,
Thought and action.
The hint half guessed, the gift half understood,
Is Incarnation.

"Instead of cursing the darkness light a candle for where we're goin'
There's something ahead worth lookin' for.
"In the hallways of the ages, on the road to history
What we do now will always be with us."
Light A Candle, by Neil Young, on Fork in the Road, 2009
I went to see Bill Mallonee, singer/songwriter & sometimes frontman for the Vigilantes Of Love, in Indianapolis. I was wearing my After The Goldrush t-shirt. Bill, it turns out, is a big Neil Young fan. He asked me what I thought of "Fork In The Road" and I told him that I thought "...Candle..." would be the song I'd be listening to years from now.
